We tested multiple fireclay kitchen sinks to determine which ones were worth the investment.
We have years of experience testing products and use categories to award points to each item. The testing categories we used to rate each sink included Quality, Design, and Function.
Quality – We reviewed the durability of each sink and if it was made with quality materials.
Design – The style of the sink was an additional factor reviewed to determine if it was stylish and contemporary.
Function – We tested how well each sink functioned and if it offered ease of use.
The Houzer Kitchen Sink features an apron front and stands out for its scratch-resistant, non-porous surface that looks glossy and elegant.
Most notable upside: We liked the Houzer Kitchen sink because it has a large capacity for added functionality, which allows it to hold more dishes and keep them discrete. The heavy and solid quality contributes to its longevity. We favored the square shape of the sink, which allows it to become the focal point in the room and to function as a conversation piece.
Biggest downsides: There was a small issue of small chips forming at the bottom of the basin over time, but we found that we could protect the finish by adding a metal grate.
Crafted from unique clay, the Regallo TRUE FIRECLAY sink is resistant to high temperatures and has a unique farmhouse design that looks vintage but still upscale.
Most notable upside: The Regallo stood out to us for its recessed front and thick material that makes it ideal for heavy use. The authentic design is beautifully crafted and complements a modern farmhouse kitchen. We were impressed by the shock-resistant surface that helps it to maintain its appeal over time.
Biggest downsides: The flat surface on the bottom of the sink makes it challenging to clean at times because it doesn’t slope towards the drain, but this issue was outweighed by the overall quality and design of the sink.
The KES cUPC Fireclay Sink stands out for its European design and does not feature any faucet holes. The premium ceramic construction offers both durability and elegance.
Most notable upside: The KES cUPC is one of our top recommendations because it includes beautiful curves without any seams or leakage present. We also discovered that it drains better than similar sinks and is easy to turn on and off. The sink is also easy to install without a lot of experience or professional tools required.
Biggest downsides: Our team did notice that standing water can accumulate at the base of the KES cUPC sink at times. It is also not as durable as some others in its class, but this doesn’t affect how well it functions or its overall elegance.
