Biggest downsides: We were pretty evenly split on whether the sound of the fan on high was loud, although nearly everyone agreed the low setting was quiet. However, we all agreed that the remote needed a better working range.

We were impressed with the powerful airflow from such a small fan. We thought the airflow may be a little too targeted for general household cooling. But, no matter what speed the fan is on the noise level is at a minimum.

Biggest downsides: We weren’t really a “fan” of the bright yellow color and thought it may be a better choice for a garage or outdoor use. But it didn’t interfere with the fans functions.

Most notable upside: We loved that Patton was so simple to put together. Most of it comes pre-assembled. It produced a refreshing, broad airflow at high velocity. It’s also built sturdy. However, our testers expressed concern at how hot the motor felt after running for a little while as it seemed a little hot to the touch.

Biggest downsides: After a few months, the fan had a tough time staying tilted as desired, but adding lock washers to the nuts and bolts of the stand fixed the problem.

However, some of the reviews say that the fan is not as powerful compared to other high-velocity fans, so it might not be a good choice for places that get very hot and stifled.
