Make sure your scrub the blades gently, and ensure that no sharp parts of the equipment are exposed once you’ve finished washing it.

Parts That Need Regular Cleaning

Make sure that you wash the following parts of your food processor after every use:

The Blades

It is important to wash the blades of your food processor after every use. This is so that you can avoid crusted-on food. However, make sure that you scrub the blades from the center, so that you won’t accidentally cut yourself. Always exercise precaution when cleaning the blades of your food processor.  Refrain from putting in the blades inside your dishwasher as the hot water can damage them over time.

The Lid and Body

To clean your food processor’s container or body, you can add in some dishwashing liquid to the bottom. After that, you can fill in the container body with warm water. Put in the lid and then run your food processor for some seconds. This will clean your food processor and get rid of food residue that may have been stuck inside. After that, rinse out the soapy water and then scrub your lid and container after.

Aside from regular washing, your food processor also needs to undergo thorough cleaning every now and then. If you already notice a weird smell coming from your food processor, then this might indicate the growth of mold.
