The first thing to consider when creating a cleaning schedule for your home is to evaluate the free time you have for it. How much time or how much time can you dedicate in cleaning your home? You wouldn’t want to spend all of your free time cleaning your house, do you? So think about it. Do you want to give thirty minutes of your time a few times on weekdays, or do you want to spend a few hours during the weekend cleaning? Think about what works best for you. Technically, you can give the most important rooms or areas of your home the most attention, and give less time to those areas that are less important.

Do you prefer cleaning each room by itself? Or do you want to do all the dusting and vacuuming in one go? Decide whether you want to clean your house one area or room at a time, or if you want to do it according to the type of task.

If you prefer weekly cleaning, then you can list down your tasks and make a checklist of what you will have to accomplish by the end of the week. This can serve as your guidee. However, if you’ve chosen weekly cleaning, make sure that you don’t forget other important daily tasks such as washing the dishes.
Checklists will be handy because having them will help and guidee you on the things that need to be done for the day.
- Create Your Schedule and Stick To It
After making a list, decide on which day of the week or days of the week you need to do it. For example, Saturday or Sunday may be dedicated to vacuuming or cleaning your bathroom. The key is to just make a schedule of the things that you need to do, and stick to it. You can even use your phone to set some daily reminders or even weekly ones so that you can keep track of the things that you should be doing.
