While it is completely normal for your home to have moisture, too much of it can encourage mold growth. Accumulated dust and dirt can also be a huge problem. It can cause a wide array of health issues and irritation. If you are experiencing the following symptoms, then it might be time to give your home a thorough clean up and maintain it. How can you do this?
Invest in a HEPA Vacuum
Dust and dirt can worsen certain respiratory conditions. In order to clean your home, you can invest in a HEPA vacuum. HEPA vacuums make sure that the tiny particles from dirt and dust won’t end up being blown back into your home, damaging overall indoor air quality. However, make sure you replace your vacuum filter regularly, preferably once every six months, or as needed. Constantly check if your filter needs replacing.
Control Your Humidity
It is also good to monitor overall humidity inside your home. You can purchase a gadget that monitors humidity, or you can regularly run your fan vents or open your windows whenever you are cooking or showering. You can also purchase a dehumidifier as well.
Make sure you don’t forget to clean. Most especially if you have a lot of stuff. Once you’ve purchased a HEPA vacuum, make sure that you vacuum at least once a week, or if someone in your home has allergies, do it more often. You can also avoid wearing your outdoor shoes into your home and bringing them inside, so that the dirt from outside doesn’t get transferred inside your home. Also, make sure you change beddings, curtains and wash them regularly as well so that they won’t accumulate too much dirt.
